After all the talk about leaky convertible line, I went ahead and made things even worse!
1. There was a slow green oil leak, over driver's feet at my XKR. I was told that this is due to some line splicing, supposedly done by some dealer..
2. True, there were two compression fitted quick connects, one on each line, in the area of left pillar. This is where oil was slowly leaking down the lines, over some electric cables and onto my feet.
3. I decided to redo compression fittings, where plastic line screws onto them and accidentally snapped one of the screws that goes into the plastic lines.
At this point I have option to try and find new fitting, or possibly replace the whole line perhaps?
The upper line, where the fitting was connected looks perfect and new, however the lower lines that go all the way to the pump look old and oily, with black outer insulation peeling off.
Please suggest what do to and where to get parts!!! Thanks again, as always!
